Agents charge $2,000 - $5,000 to "find you a job abroad". Most of them are scams.
The truth is, companies abroad hire directly. They post on LinkedIn, Indeed.de, Job Bank Canada, and NHS Jobs UK. You don't need an agent. You need a good CV, a LinkedIn profile that looks international, and the right message to send to hiring managers.
I have interviewed 6 Africans who got offers in the last 12 months without paying any agent. Here is exactly what they did.
Step 1: Fix Your CV for Abroad (Not Ghana CV)
Ghana CVs are 3 pages with date of birth and marital status. Abroad CVs are 1 page, no photo, no age, no religion. Just skills + results.
Change this: "Responsible for managing sales"
To this: "Managed $45k monthly sales and grew repeat customers by 30% in 6 months using WhatsApp follow-up system"
Use numbers. Abroad recruiters love numbers. And add keywords from the job description. If they say "Care Assistant", don't write "Nurse Aid". Write "Care Assistant" exactly.
For caregiver jobs, add: Personal Care, Medication Administration, Moving & Handling, Safeguarding, Dementia Care. These are the exact words UK employers filter for.

Step 2: LinkedIn Setup That Gets Replies
Don't just apply and wait. Message the hiring manager.
1. Create LinkedIn. Professional photo, banner says "Care Assistant | Open to UK Sponsorship | NVQ Level 3". Not "CEO at Hustlers Empire".
2. Search: "Recruitment Consultant + Care Home + UK" or "Talent Acquisition + Logistics + Germany". Filter to People.
3. Connect with a note (not blank). Use this script:
"Hi [Name], I saw your company is hiring Care Assistants with sponsorship. I am a trained caregiver with 2 years experience in Ghana, certified in Moving & Handling and Medication. I have attached my CV. Would you be open to a 10-min chat about the role? Thank you - [Your Name]"
Send 20 per day. Not 100. LinkedIn bans you if you send 100. 20 is safe. Out of 100 messages, expect 15 replies, 5 calls, 1-2 offers. That's the real math.
Step 3: Where to Find Real Jobs (No Agent Sites)
UK Caregiver: NHS Jobs, carehome.co.uk, indeed.co.uk, LinkedIn. Search "Tier 2 Sponsorship Care Assistant". Avoid sites that ask you to pay before interview.
Canada: Job Bank Canada (jobbank.gc.ca) - filter "LMIA Approved". If it says LMIA, it means they can hire foreigners. Also LinkedIn "LMIA Jobs Canada".
Germany: Make-it-in-Germany.com, Indeed.de, Ausbildung.de for non-degree route. Germany now has Skilled Immigration Act - you can get a job seeker visa for 6 months to come and search.

The Email Script That Got 3 Offers
One guy from Kumasi used this email to get caregiver offers in the UK. He sent 47 emails, got 9 replies, 4 interviews, 2 offers:
